  • i just finished reading the novel "the Vesuvius club" and I genuinely liked it. It's about a gay secret agent at the turn of the last century.

    pretty funny. not perfect, there were some mistakes in it, like poor editing kind of mistakes, but the story was fun. it's a good read if you're gay.

  • this story from the BBC makes me furious:

    In short, a man is caught having sex with a goat and made to take the goat as his wife by paying a dowry to it's owner.   Yes, he was caught having sex with a goat that was not his, some might say he raped it.  The result is that on paying a dowry he was then given the goat, which is still 'with him'.

    Why so furious?

    this story takes place is Sudan.  Last I checked homosexuality in Sudan was punishable by the death penalty.  Beastiality rape?  marry the goat.  Same sex sex?  die.

    this is the hieght of ridiculous.

    A government-sponsored opinion poll released in December showed more than 70% of respondents backed the ban.
